Reach target by Leslie's brithday on July 22nd!

We've raised over £2,500, thanks to some very generous donations from friends, family and members of the local community. We need £3,500 to pay for Barnwell C ward to have its own ice machine and one year's maintenance, so we hope the sale of the greetings cards will enable us to reach our final target.

July 22nd would have been Leslie's 84th birthday.

If we can reach our fundraising target by then, what better tribute could there be?

Please take a look at our appeal and browse the lovely cards. You can also read about our story  in the local newspaper.

Message from Kathryn

It devastates me to announce my beautiful, wonderful dad Leslie Ellison passed away on Monday April 16, 2018. There are no words to express how sad my mum Barbara, myself, my brother Andrew and Leslie's four grandsons are. Our lives will never be the same without him.

Dad spent seven weeks in Kettering General Hospital bravely battling sepsis as well as his leukaemia. The staff there were simply amazing and did their very best. He fought so hard to try to live, not least because of his absolute devotion to my mum; they had celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary on April 1. He also hoped to continue painting and had a long list of subject matter, bless his heart.

Dad was such a huge personality, a real gent with enormous talent and a big heart. He will be missed tremendously.

£250 for Cancer Research UK

Thanks to some late orders and generous donations from friends and family, I am delighted to announce that we raised £250 in total from the sale of dad's 2018 calendars.

Dad's story in print!

As well as an interview on BBC Radio Northampton,, dad's story was featured in the Northamptonshire Telegraph on December 21, 2017. You can read the story by following the link below.
